RepriceSafe Privacy Policy

RepriceSafe is a Shopify application operated by Clearforge Studio. RepriceSafe helps Shopify merchants preview, apply, manage, and roll back bulk product pricing changes.

This Privacy Policy explains what information RepriceSafe accesses or processes, why it is used, how it is stored, and the choices available to merchants.

1. Information RepriceSafe accesses

RepriceSafe does not require a separate external database for merchant pricing history.

4. Shopify authentication and API access

RepriceSafe uses Shopify authentication mechanisms to ensure that access to store data is authorized.

RepriceSafe may use Shopify App Bridge, Shopify ID or session tokens, and Shopify Admin APIs to perform actions requested by the merchant.

Authentication credentials, application secrets, and access tokens are not intentionally exposed to browser users or stored in insecure browser storage.

5. Hosting and technical data

RepriceSafe uses Cloudflare infrastructure to host application assets and required server-side endpoints.

6. Data sharing

RepriceSafe does not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer personal information.

RepriceSafe nevertheless supports Shopify's required privacy and compliance mechanisms.

If Shopify sends RepriceSafe a customer data access or deletion request and RepriceSafe does not hold information relating to that customer, there will normally be no customer-specific data to provide or delete.

8. Shopify privacy requests

RepriceSafe implements the privacy and compliance mechanisms required by Shopify, including requests relating to:

Requests received through Shopify are processed according to Shopify's platform requirements and applicable law.

9. Data retention

Pricing operation information is retained only as needed to provide RepriceSafe features such as history and rollback.

RepriceSafe may limit the amount of stored pricing history. Older pricing operations and rollback snapshots may be removed when application storage limits or configured history limits are reached.

Technical and security logs may be retained for a limited period where necessary for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

10. Uninstalling RepriceSafe

When a merchant uninstalls RepriceSafe, the application loses its authorized access to the merchant's Shopify store.

RepriceSafe does not rely on merchant pricing history remaining available after uninstall.

Some app-specific data stored within Shopify may be subject to Shopify's own retention and deletion lifecycle after an application is uninstalled.

RepriceSafe also responds to Shopify store deletion and privacy requests as required.

11. Data security

RepriceSafe uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect application data.

These safeguards include:

No system can guarantee absolute security, but RepriceSafe is designed to minimize the amount of data processed and reduce unnecessary exposure.

12. International processing

RepriceSafe and its infrastructure providers may process technical or application data in countries other than the merchant's country of residence.

Where applicable, data is handled according to the safeguards and legal requirements provided by Shopify, Cloudflare, and applicable privacy law.

13. Children's privacy

RepriceSafe is a business application intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children.

RepriceSafe does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Merchant responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their use of RepriceSafe complies with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and Shopify policies.

Merchants remain responsible for reviewing proposed pricing changes before confirming them.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
